Story Pirates

Story Pirates is a nationally recognized arts education company devoted to celebrating the words and ideas of young people. Story Pirates pairs world-class teachers with first-rate actors and comedians to bring students' wildest ideas to life. As part of the Front and Center Theater Collaborative, every 4th grader in Culver City will work with Story Pirates teaching artists to create their own original story. Then, the Story Pirates will perform selections from those stories at a series of shows in each of the district's schools. By making writing incredibly fun and memorable, Story Pirates hope to inspire every kid to become a lifelong reader and writer.
