Culver City Education Foundation (CCEF) was established in 1981 by a group of parents concerned with school funding challenges following state budget cuts. CCEF has since grown as the only nonprofit organization dedicated to serving every student at every CCUSD campus, raising millions of dollars for highly-valued educational programs and teaching innovations that would not be possible through government funding alone.

The mission of the Culver City Unified School District, a diverse haven of excellence, is to ensure that each student possesses the academic and personal skills necessary to achieve his/her highest potential as a valued, responsible member of society by providing challenging, personalized educational experiences in a safe, nurturing environment and by fostering a passion for teaching and learning with committed parent and community involvement.

The Culver City Backpacks for Kids Program believes that no child in the Culver City Unified School District (CCUSD) should go hungry or have food insecurities, especially on weekends when students don’t have access to school-sponsored breakfasts and lunches. The Culver City Council PTA, in conjunction with CCUSD, provides students in need with a backpack filled with non-perishable food and snacks each week to ensure that every child can eat on the weekends.
