Join us for a discussion of Barbara Kingsolver’s Demon Copperhead, co-recipient of the 2023 Pulitzer Prize for Fiction. Set in the mountains of southern Appalachia, Demon Copperhead is the story of a resilient boy, relayed in his own unsparing voice, as he braves the modern perils of foster care, child labor, derelict schools, athletic success, addiction, disastrous loves, and crushing losses. In addition to local libraries, bookstores, and online retailers, free copies of the e-book and audiobook versions are available through the Hoopla app (no wait time!) as well as the Libby app. Free content can be accessed through the Hoopla and Libby apps by linking them to your personal public library account.
