Nov 13th: The D&E Book & Media Club is back! You are invited to the first Book & Media Club meeting of the year. On Monday, November 13th at 6:30 pm, please join us for an informal discussion regarding our Book & Media Club selection for November: "Tongva - The People of the Earth,” a 20-minute episode of the UCLA-produced podcast “Distorted Footprints"

In honor of Native American Heritage Month, we will be learning more about the Tongva who are the original, and among the present-day, inhabitants of Culver City. As UCLA is a land-grant institution on this land, this podcast episode acknowledges the past histories of the Gabrielino-Tongva people and seeks to explore different ways the UCLA community can work together to better represent them as it takes up space on their native land.
